The Battalion held a Thanksgiving Service to celebrate this important milestone. It was held in Auld Kirk, Ayr on Sunday 8th October 2023 at 2.30pm.

THe Church was very busy, with all seats and pews taken. It was a very enjoyable service conducted by the Rev David Clarkson, Minister of the Church. It was good to see 18 (out of 21) Senior Boys receive Battalion Certificates from the Lord Lieutenant, Iona McDonald, in recognition of gaining their Queen’s Badge Award. At the service the collection taken was for 1st Prestwick’s charity – Whiteleys Retreat. The sum of £750.00 was raised for this worthwhile cause. The Parade consisted of approx. 170 Boys & Leaders marching to and from the Church from Prestwick Academy. It was good to be seen out in the streets of Prestwick that day, with many mobile devices recording our Parade. We were also highlighted on the Prestwick Just Say Facebook Page - all good PR for the Boys' Brigade.
